Cirrus SR-22 Added to Thunderbird Aviation Fleet
Thunderbird Aviation is excited to announce the addition of a 2004 Cirrus SR-22 G2 aircraft into our fleet. Tail number N701SG is on-line and available to be scheduled for flight training and rental check-outs. For Thunderbird pilots looking for high performance time, glass cockpit training or just a new challenge, this aircraft is for you.The Cirrus SR22 has the smart, elegant styling of a luxury automobile, and contains some of the hottest technology in general aviation today. Cirrus has strived to build one of the most advanced general aviation airplanes in the world, while still incorporating leading edge safety into the design.
| The SR-22 is the only production GA aircraft that comes with an airframe parachute system, and the airplane is designed with crumple zones-very much like modern cars-so that it sacrifices the airplane to protect passengers in case of an accident. | ![]() |
The trunk door is exceptionally large for a four-seat GA airplane, and it easily accommodates large suitcases, a garment bag, or golf clubs.
Our new Cirrus has the Avidyne Entegra Primary Flight Display, which includes standard flight instrumentation, including an attitude indicator, horizontal situation indicator, altitude, airspeed, vertical speed, moving map, weather, terrain and traffic on high-resolution, full-color displays. Thunderbird's new SR-22 also has a TKS-based weeping wing ice protection system, a WX-500 Stormscope, and Skywatch Traffic information.
The SR22 is easy to fly and remarkably fast. We think Thunderbird's rental customers and flight students will enjoy this truly high-performance airplane. Download the SR-22 Specifications Sheet.
N701SG will be based at our Flying Cloud location. For more information, or to schedule a flight, call FCM Dispatch at (952) 941-1212
